Adolf Hitler

Hitler was an Austrian German dictator, who was famous for leading Germany into World War 2. He was leader of the National Socialist German Workers Party in Germany and from 1933 until 1945 he was the Chancellor of Germany. The Chancellor of Germany is what they call the head of government of Germany.

He was born on 20 April 1889 and he died on 30 April 1945. He was an Austrian citizen until 7 April 1925 and was a German citizen from 25 February 1932 until his death.

His father was Alois Hitler and his mother was a Roman Catholic woman named Klara Hitler. He married a woman named Eva Braun and when Adolf Hitler died, he took his wife with him. The two committed suicide together before they could be captured by the “Red Army”.

Hitler was famous for his political methods and agendas. He started World War 2 when he ordered Germany to invade Poland and he was head of the project that murdered about 6 million Jewish people without a flinch.

Hitler was also known for his brutal hostility towards Jewish people. He hated them and wanted the Jewish race to be destroyed. He planned to have them removed permanently from society and humanity. He wanted only a pure race to remain, one that he believed was worthy of life.

His personal beliefs are debated and no-one really knows what the religious status was of Adolf Hitler. Some say he was Christian, others say he was agnostic or atheist. Hitler was also a soldier during World War 1 which was between the years 1914 and 1918. At this time, during the First World War, Hitler began to develop his ideologies. He also spent time in prison where he wrote his famous book “Mein Kampf”, which means “My Struggle” in English. Many of his views and ideologies can be read in this book.

Hitler is most famous for his dictatorship over Germany, his role in World War 2 and the mass murder of Jews.
