First Moon landing

Neil Armstrong was the first person to have set foot on the Moon. This event took place with the flight of Apollo 11.

This mission brought the first humans ever onto the Moon who also included another person less spoken about, named Buzz Aldrin.

The exact date of when Neil Armstrong put his foot down on the Moon was 21 July 1969 at 02:56 UTC. He was on the Moon for about two and a half hours. The official landing of Apollo 11 was on 20 July 1969 at 20:18 UTC.

There were three members that went on the Apollo 11 mission and only two of them walked on the Moon, Buzz Aldrin and Armstrong.

Michael Collins was the third person in the mission but he was in charge of the Command Module while Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin completed their tasks.

Michael Collins was in orbit around the Moon alone by himself while he was in the Command Module.
