There are different types of Anaconda species, but usually when people talk about the Anaconda, they are talking about the Green Anaconda (Eunectes murinus ) which is the largest of the Anaconda species.
You can find these snakes living in marsh-lands and also swamps. Apart from marshes they also sit in water for long periods of time and can be found streams as well. They live in the dense rainforests of the Amazon in South America, where they can thrive in the tropical climate.
They’ll live mostly in and around water.
They can dwell on land and in water and can stay under water all most completely. This is because they have adapted heads. The eyes and nose of an Anaconda are located on top of their heads so that they can breathe while under water. This allows them to ambush prey.
Anacondas are probably the most aquatic out of all the boa species of snakes.
Different species of Anaconda are found in their unique regions. Such as the Bolivian Anaconda can be found in Bolivia while other species of Anaconda are found elsewhere. All Anacondas are found in the Amazon rainforest, South America.
The countries where Anacondas live are Argentina, Colombia, Venezuela, the Guianas, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay, Trinidad and Tobago.
